Picanol presents OptiMax-i rapier machine for technical applications in ITM 2016 trade fair. The OptiMax-i is available in reed widths ranging from 190 to 540 cm. The unique features of the OptiMax-i are the Guided Gripper system developed for dedicated technical fabrics and the Free Flight system for more versatility. In addition, the other features developed for responding an increasing demand for versatility include the Electronic Filling Tensioner, the SmartEye filling detector and the SmartCut filling cutter.  Other highlights of the new OptiMax-i rapier machine also include the increased performance, redesigned and more rigid construction, new applications, intelligent energy efficiency, improved ergonomics and user-friendliness. Weavers enable not only to program the pile height loop by loop, but also to program the pre beat-up distance of every single filling yarn.
